Spontaneous Baltic-Sea-Trip - Part 1: Travemünde

Last weekend there wasn't anything good to do in Magdeburg as almost everyone had something planned or wasn't in town. But the weather was awesome so we decided to take a spontaneous trip to the baltic sea! ^^

The journey took us over 4 hours because we didn't drive highway, but it was so much more fun seeing some (not always) pretty landscape! And... adventures for the win! ^^ We also saw a town that was named like a friend of us "Wiepke" ^^
In some town we had to cross a river and our navigation system didn't tell us there was no bridge so we ended up on a ferry in the middle of nowhere xD

on the ferry
When we arrived after 100 times driving in the wrong direction (-.-) it was almost afternoon. We parked the car and started exploring the harbor of Travemünde!

I chartered a boot!
really nice promenade
a lot of jellyfish were in the sea
swans!
seagulls everywhere
there was some kind of boot race
beach area
quite crowded and a lot of algae at the shore...
In the evening we had to take a ferry to our camping ground.

our "hotel" ^^

We ended this evening while sitting at the beach, drinking and watching the nightlife of Travemünde and passing ships.

looking funny ^^
yay for automatic release xD

Next: Visiting Timmendorfer Strand and Hamburg! ^^
